I’ve been waiting ages to post about this. This week, my wife, Shellie Vandersluis published her first book. It is called Naming Risk, Changing Culture: Making Uncertainty Less Awkward, One Team at a Time. I may have been in the project management industry a bit longer, but Shellie has some remarkable credentials in this area. She is both a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) through the Project Management Institute.
The book is awesome. It takes the subject of project risk which is so often described in complex terms and makes it digestible in short form. Shellie’s response to risk is to leave people not fearful and avoiding it but being open to discuss and mitigate it.
It’s an easy read and well suited to both experienced project managers and those who have no experience at all.
Needless to say, I’m incredibly proud of Shellie’s accomplishments. I can only hope this is the first book of many.
You can find the book in both paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon.
