I’m very excited to be in Dallas this week to speak in person at the 15th Annual University of Texas Dallas Project Management Symposium. This is a great event every year and I couldn’t be happier to have been asked to speak. My topic is: Is the Era of the Project Management Office at an End?  Which I’ll be presenting on Tuesday, May 23rd. If you will there, please say hi!

I’m delighted to be speaking on a couple of different topics at the Minnesota PMI Professional Development Days (PDD) this year. This is the first in-person meeting of the PDD for the PMI-MN in two years and I’m excited to be a part of it. I’ll be speaking about creating a hybrid environment in a session called “Bringing Agile, Project Management and Portfolio Management together” and then a second Symposium Day session called “The Perils…

I’m delighted to have accepted Nathan Latka’s invitation to speak at the upcoming Founder500 conference in Austin Texas on September 1st. This conference focuses on hundreds of top Software as a Service company founders of all sizes. I’m one of only 60+ speakers so I’m a small part of something big but it’s still great to be able to meet folks there and tell a bit of our story at HMS Software. The conference is…

Yep – that’s me giving an in-person talk at a project management event last year.  I really enjoy getting the chance to give a short course or even a symposium talk when I can.  It’s great to connect directly with others who have the same interests.  This year there will be some changes.  A couple of my upcoming speaking engagements have shifted from in-person events into virtual conferences including: The Minnesota Chapter of the Project…

As expected, I have more changes to report on speaking engagements that I had been asked to speak at have been postponed or changed. The ProjectWorld / Business Analyst World show scheduled for late May in Toronto been rescheduled to December 14-17.  My talk there will be rescheduled to somewhere within those dates.

It’s probably no surprise but thanks to the current situation with Covid-19, some of the project management conferences that I had been asked to speak at have been postponed or changed. The ProjectSummit*BAWorld Orlando which had been scheduled for April 6-8th has been postponed to October 26-28.  I’ll still be speaking at the event, it’ll just be later.  For more information on the event, go to: https://www.pmbaconferences.com/orlando/home.html. UT Dallas PM Symposium 2020 which had been…

I’m delighted to be speaking once again at the Project Summit / Business AnalystWorld in Orlando this year.  The conference will take place March 25-27 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld.  My session is Tuesday, March 26th where my topic is “If you can’t cancel a project, can you really have a portfolio stage gate?  How to cancel a project properly and maximize returns”. If you will be at the conference, please make…
